Selim Isik
Turkish born guitar player and guitar instructor, Selim Işık is endorsed by Vox Amps, ESP Guitars, D’addario strings and NUX Effects
He has been not only active in the field of music by having participated in many rock and metal bands, but also the most well-known guitar instructor in Turkey.
During 2008 and 2011 years, he aimed to help the upcoming generations of young guitarists who never had a chance to take private lessons all across the country and prepared 100 instructional guitar videos in Turkish
During 2011 – 2015, he participated in a well-known Turkish metal & hard rock band “80 Kalibre” and released 2 albums. In addition, he also recorded 2 rock albums with a female bass guitarist, singer and songwriter Melek İrdem
He released his first instructional book in 2014 and the second one in 2017, published under Bemol Müzik label.
In 2015, he released his albums including cover songs and his own composition such as “Desperado” and “Eski Yeni Adam” on the internet. Next, he released an album called “Tutunamayan” which included 10 songs of his own. At the same time, he published all the backing tracks and musical scores of his songs belong to this album in order to encourage his young followers to play along with him
He is still very active in the music business and teaching young generations playing the guitar. One of his unique approaches is that he releases the backing tracks of his own compositions then let young guitar players play along with them and post a video of it on Youtube. He then chooses the best ones and let these young and excited guitarists play these live on stage with him! Recently he has been working with Merve Kazanç and releasing his work on Youtube
